In-home tuning across every corner of the city β uprights to concert grands.
Toronto has more pianos per block than just about anywhere in the country β and we've spent decades keeping them in tune, from downtown condos to the century homes of the old neighbourhoods.
The city's housing is a study in contrasts, and so are its pianos. In Cabbagetown, Riverdale and the Annex, we tune heritage uprights and grands that have lived in the same Victorian and Edwardian homes for generations. Downtown and along the waterfront, it's newer instruments in condos where space is tight and good sound matters. Toronto is also a serious music town β home to the Royal Conservatory and countless private teachers β so a great many of the pianos we tune belong to students and working musicians who need true concert pitch.
Living close to Lake Ontario means Toronto pianos ride real humidity swings β damp lake air through summer, dry forced-air heat through winter β and older downtown homes with radiators or big drafty windows feel it most. An annual tuning keeps that seasonal drift in check, and if your piano sits near a heating vent or a sunny bay window, we'll point out a kinder spot while we're there.
