Why teachers partner with us
Every piano teacher in the GTA is also, unofficially, a piano-tuner referral service. Parents ask. Students' pianos drift. Exam season arrives and half the practice instruments in the studio are flat. We built this program to make the answer easy — for you, for your students' families, and for the practice pianos that carry your teaching.
What you're recommending, plainly: in-home tuning by technicians with 25+ years each, by ear to A440, at published prices ($160 standard, $140 current intro rate), with a 30-day guarantee on every visit. We tune the practice pianos of students across Toronto, York, Peel, and Durham every week, and we're familiar with what RCM and festival preparation asks of an instrument.
What your students get
Priority booking. Referred families get first call on our schedule — typically within the week, and we work around lesson and school times. Tell us "we're with [teacher's name]" and the booking is expedited.

Honest advice, not upsells. A student's piano gets an assessment at every visit; small fixes are handled on the spot, larger ones quoted plainly, and if a family's free Kijiji upright genuinely isn't worth a repair, we'll say so before they spend. We'd rather protect your recommendation than bill a family.
A $10 first-tuning discount for referred families (applied at the visit; mention the teacher's name).
What you get
A $25 credit per completed referral. Every time a referred family completes a first tuning, you earn a $25 credit toward your own studio tuning — six referrals and your next tuning is on us. Credits don't expire while you're in the program.
Studio tuning on the exam rhythm. We tune studio pianos twice a year by default, timed to the sessions your students prepare for — typically late summer and mid-winter — at standard rates, with priority scheduling between lessons. A free exam-prep handout for your studio. A one-page, print-ready guide for parents — when to tune before an exam, how to steady the room, what the examiner's piano will feel like. Your studio name on it if you like. Email us and it's yours.
A listing here. Partner teachers and studios can be listed on this page by area (name, area, website or contact) — parents searching for a tuner meet you, and vice versa. Optional; we list only teachers who ask.
How it works
- Join — the form below, or an email to [email protected] with your name, studio or city, and roughly how many students you teach. No paperwork, no cost, no exclusivity.
- Refer — give families our number or booking page and tell them to mention your name. We track referrals by teacher name; nothing for the family to fill in.
- We book them promptly, tune, and follow up with you only if a family needs something you should know about (a piano that's genuinely failing, for instance).
- Credits accrue on your account; we tell you the balance when you book your own tuning.
For music schools and multi-teacher studios
Schools with several teaching pianos are where tuning discipline matters most: every instrument is played all day, and a sour room undermines every lesson in it. We tune for GTA schools and studios on termly or twice-yearly schedules, with a single point of contact, honest assessments of donated instruments, and minor repairs handled during the visit. The referral program applies to each teacher individually — the school's pianos get the priority schedule; each teacher earns credits on their own referrals. Ask about a school rate for four or more instruments.

Is there a cost to join the teacher program?
No — no fee, no minimum, no exclusivity. Refer when it's genuinely the right call for a family; the program rewards that, not volume for its own sake.
How do you know a family was referred by me?
They mention your name when booking; we log it. If they forget, tell us and we'll credit it — we'd rather over-credit than lose your trust.
What do referred families actually pay?
Our published rates — $160 standard tuning ($140 intro rate), $230 pitch raise ($210 intro) — less the $10 first-tuning discount for referred families. No hidden fees, ever. Full pricing →
Can the credit be used for anything besides tuning?
