Repair & Regulation
Sticking keys, buzzes and uneven touch — fixed with the same care as the tuning.

Tuning is about pitch — but how a piano feels and responds matters just as much.
A key that sticks, a note that buzzes or won't sound, a pedal gone spongy, an action that feels uneven from one end of the keyboard to the other: these are regulation and repair issues, and many of the smaller ones can be sorted out during a regular visit.
Common things we handle on the spot
- Sticking or sluggish keys
- A single note that buzzes, rings, or doesn't sound
- Uneven touch across the keyboard
- Minor pedal adjustments
- Small voicing tweaks for tone that's too bright or too dull
Bigger jobs — honesty first
For anything larger — a cracked bridge, major action work, a piano that simply won't hold tension anymore — we'll give you a clear, written estimate before any work happens, along with an honest opinion about whether the instrument is worth the investment.
Sometimes the kindest answer is that an old piano has had its day, and we'll tell you that too. We'd rather keep your trust than sell you a repair that doesn't make sense.
