Humber Bay Shores has more baby grands facing more glass than anywhere else we go, so here's the rule: a piano and direct sun are enemies, and a lake-facing wall is thermally an exterior wall. Sun heats a soundboard unevenly for hours (pitch wanders daily), bleaches the finish, and dries the wood on one side. The fixes are gentle: pull the piano a few feet back from the glass, close blinds during the peak-sun hours, and never park a grand's lid-side toward the window.
